IPOS Grocery Store EPOS Systems

International POS Ltd (IPOS) have supplied over 30 Tysso Touch screen systems to D B Ramsdens to provide complete EPOS systems with IPOS RS Software in the grocery food market.

The Tysso 5715integrated POS terminal may also be configured with a secondary customer screen to show customer promotions as well as details of the sale as well as the normal two line customer display.

The Tysso terminal also has the option to include a Magnetic Stripe reader which may be used with a customer loyalty system. This provides the opportunity to reward loyal customers by accruing points and keep track of customer purchases. The receipt may then be printed on the fast Tysso thermal receipt printer showing the customer the accrued points. This will help with customer retention, which is now even more important in the present economic climate.

The Tysso system may also integrate with Commidea’s Ocius chip&pin system to provide a solution, which is approved by all major UK bank acquirers.

The main factor with speed when processing card transactions is that with the Ocius chip&pin solution integrated in to the system the amount is automatically sent to the chip&pin terminal. This also means less errors and that reconciliation process is also much easier.

This will also means even greater efficiency and speed at the point of sale.

The Zebex 6070 omni-directional laser scanner provides a very fast scanning operation and has won a good design award which is recognised in the industry for outstanding products.

Visit York Touch screen EPOS System

The design of the Visitor information Centre provides the visitor with a visual experience of the many attractions and events available in York. The EPOS terminals are conveniently located so that visitors may purchase tickets for the events, accommodation, maps and information booklets as well as gifts and mementos of their York visit.

The EPOS system uses the very latest Tysso touch screen terminals and automatically prints event tickets and with chip&pin terminals integrated with the Poswyse Software ensures visitors experience a fast and efficient service at the point of sale.

The IPOS system uses the Tysso 7000 touch screen terminal which has a 15″ touch screen and in built processor making it a compact unit which does not take up valuable selling space. The fast touch screen operation is complemented with a voyager laser scanner for quick and easy input of transactions. The fast Tysso thermal receipt printer not only prints customer receipts but also the card authorisation slips which means all transactions are completed efficiently. The other benefits of using integrated chip & pin are that it is much faster than separate devices as the transaction only needs to inputted once and it also means no reconciliation issues at the end of the day. Poswyse software also prints tickets from Star TSP 1000 ticket printer with the event logo so that all visitor requirements are met within the same transaction. The IPOS cash drawer is hidden under the counter which makes it more secure in this open plan environment.

All the EPOS terminals are networked to the back office computer system which uses the Poswyse Software to provide consolidated,up to date , accurate sales information as well as stock control.

Harrogate Tourist Information Centres upgrade EPOS system with Chip&pin

International POS Ltd (IPOS) have successfully completed a project to install a new chip&pin solution for Harrogate Tourist Information Centre’s(TIC’s) along with Poswyse multi branch stock control software for the Knaresborough, Ripon and Pateley Bridge sites.

The project started with the installation of the Poswyse stock control module with extra stock locations at the Harrogate head office to accommodate the other three TIC sites.

Ian Cannings of EFT-POS.com, an IPOS partner provided consultancy services to Harrogate TIC’s regarding the choice of the chip&pin solution. This was necessary as Harrogate Council are becoming part of the Government Secure Network. This means that no communication (SSL) or otherwise can go directly out from their site to the internet. A solution was recommended which uses the vx510 chip &pin terminals so they could place these in a DMZ network which can do TCP connects out to the outside world. The POS terminals then remain on the internal protected network and connect to the vx510 to send the value/purchase etc and the vx510s communicate out from there.

The chip&pin solution was first tested by Harrogate TIC and as that proved to be a success the installation of Poswyse Software and the Vx510 terminals were then implemented into the Knaresbourough, Ripon and Pateley Bridge sites.

Poswyse software was able to run on existing computers and with the addition of a Tysso PRP-080 receipt printer, cash drawer and Zebex bar code scanner provided a simple cost effective EPOS solution.
