Please note that the details below relate to the ICP1 Client - ICP2 Client has now been released and these details are on the EFT-POS.COM website.
ICP provides a mechanism to authorise and process credit and
debit card transactions using the Internet.
ICP Client software allows you to take and process card transactions
from your Windows PC. The ICP Client is a windows program
that emulates the actions of a traditional PDQ, Cardnet or
Streamline type terminal. As with all card processing solutions
supplied by International POS, ICP is approved by all major
UK acquirers / banks.
Example
screens for a transaction
When card details are entered into the ICP Client screens
the program will seek credit/debit card authorisation over
the internet from the ICP servers. The connection to the servers
utilises 128-bit SSL level 3 encryption to safeguard the privacy
and security of the transaction. The result of the authorisation
is returned to you in as little as 4 seconds.
Submission of transactions for payment happens overnight
from the ICP servers to the banks, ensuruing there is no delay
in you receiving payment for the transactions processed.
You may run the ICP Client program on as many PCs as you
wish without additional charge, thus allowing much greater
access to card processing than with a single PDQ type terminal.
Transaction reports can be accessed and printed using the
supplied ICP Administration Console software that also maintains
the userids and permissions for users of the ICP Client software.
Optional web based reporting can be accessed using the REMIS
system.
In order to use the ICP service you must have a PC running
Windows 98 or later, Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later,
a UK Merchant account and a permanent or high speed Internet
connection.
Credit card readers, integrated
credit card readers and keyboards, and receipt
printers can also be supplied to give a complete PC based
credit ./ debit card processing software solution.
For POS software suppliers or software development houses
requiring the ability to obtain authorisation through their
software the ICP Client can be interfaced to. This can be
achieved in a number of different ways including text file,
socket connection or via an XML Interface. Please see the EFT-POS.COM site for further information.
