The Credit Card Research Group (CCRG), which published industrywide card data for the banks and lobbied MPs, consumer groups and the media on their behalf, was axed ( quietly ! ) on 31 December 2003. Its website has been shut down and enquiries are being passed to APACS, the banks' Association for PAyment Clearing Organisations. APACS will soon start publishing data previously available through the CCRG.
