Mini Case Study – WH SMITH
When WH Smith Travel division were looking to improve the robustness and reliability of their 265 POS systems across their locations situated at busy airports and train stations, they looked to a Preh Key-Tec keyboard as part of their integrated solution provided by Preh UK distributor, International POS Ltd.
In this demanding environment there was a definite need for flexibility in the keyboard. Key layouts and functions often change as products are added and deleted and the Preh Key Tec MCI 96 met this and other needs. The configurable key positions can be populated with size, style, colour and orientation of keys required to meet WH Smith’s current and future needs. The Key positions can be programmed using the Preh programming software. Also, all the keyboards in the system can be programmed or modified at one time from a remote location.
