Battersea, London

Useful information about Battersea Dogs & Cats Home,  including directions, maps and opening hours.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home was founded in 1860 and moved to its current location in southwest London in 1871.

Squeezed between train tracks, a gas works and Battersea’s iconic power station, the Home is often a surprise to visitors. They are usually amazed to discover just how big the site is and the fact that we normally have 240 dogs and 70 cats on site at any one time.

In September 2010 the facilities at Battersea were further enhanced with the opening of a  brand new, state-of-the-art cattery.
