Connecting A Cash Drawer To Your POS System:
Most cash drawers today are designed to connect to your POS system through the receipt printer or a specific cash drawer port on your POS terminal, via a connection that looks like a specially configured telephone jack. Every Tysso POS terminal and receipt printer we sell has this special cash drawer interface port.
The idea is that when the printer prints a receipt it will also send a signal to open the cash drawer. Where applications do not call for printing a receipt with every sales transaction (as in a bar, for example), the solution is to connect direct to the Tysso POS terminal cash drawer port. This means that in a bar environment one Tysso receipt printer may be shared via the network with two or more POS terminals.
