Tysso LAG 960 Setup instructions for USB interface

Overview

The Tysso LAG Scanner with USB connection is a plug 'n' play device that is designed specifically for use within a Windows environment.. No additional drivers are required apart from the standard drivers that are supplied on the Windows installation CD.
When a barcode is scanned the bar code data is presented to the application as if the barcode was typed at the keyboard.

Connection

The scanner should be plugged directly into the USB port on the PC or POS Terminal.

Configuration

When the scanner is connected for the first time Windows will detect that a new USB device is present. If the USB drivers are not already loaded then Windows will prompt for the New Driver for "USB Human Interface Device". Click Next and Insert the Windows CD ROM or specify the location of your Windows setup files.

When you first scan a product Windows may detect that another driver is required (kbdid.vxd). If this is required insert the Windows CD-ROM again.

On completion of the loading of the drivers, reboot your PC.

Following the reboot run Notepad and scan a bar code, the code will appear in the Notepad Window.

By scanning a product while in any Windows application the Bar Code will appear as if typed at the keyboard.
